What Makes Us Unique - Our Philosophy

Perhaps the most unique aspect to our travel service is our philosophy. Based on the idea that we live in an increasingly small and interconnected community with a responsibility to one another, we promote healthy, environmentally conscious and socially responsible travel practices.

Environmental stewardship starts in the office. We are proud to serve our travellers with a custom designed travel medicine software database that avoids the unnecessary use of paper. In addition, we have purposely chosen suppliers who make their own commitment to the environment.

Social responsibility includes special attempts to identify and educate local travellers who visit friends and relatives in the developing world as they bear a disproportionate burden of travel related illness. In addition, for each new traveller to our service, a fixed sum is donated to the Gorgas Health Care Fund via a Canadian non-profit organization called Basic Health International. This fund offers crucial diagnostic and therapeutic opportunities to those in desperate need at the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University in Lima, Peru. Finally, we are currently in the process of establishing a network through which we will return to the underdeveloped Latin American world to offer humanitarian medical support.
